Then the next problem reared its ugly head: loading a saved project with any of these plugins would bring up the loading bar and go through the motions of setting up the right instruments, but these instruments were dead on arrival. Loading instruments and effects and so on was fine and behaved as expected at this point, and additional instances on other tracks also worked without a hitch (apart from minor redraw bugs). This time, there was no error message, but no GUI window either, until I forced the window to redraw, and there it was in all its glory.
